So, I will tell you how a project for groups Art&Play (children 3-5 yerars old) take place in our studio using the example of the “Dinosaurs” project.
First of all, art project for kids is an interesting and understandable subject, sometimes unexpected, which catch up kids and adults (yes, adults are children too) 🙂
It is a collaboration of materials and techniques, experiments and unexpected results.
It is a possibility to make a creative, authoring work for the brave ones and a possibility to clearly manage the process for those who love order and clarity.
We take as example the “Dinosaurs” project.
The kids got an opportunity to practice counting during making a recipe for salt dough, got 30 minutes of active and fun work with kneading the desired consistency of dough, sprays and working with exercises to develop and strengthen fine motor skills.
We discussed from which simple geometric shapes we could make a whole dinosaur, and what kinds of glue they already know.
At the first stage, we created a dinosaur and a line of land and left the work to dry.
At the second meeting, we came up with a story, and as the story went on we painted and finished the picture:
– Dino smelled the smell of smoke – Graphite, shading.
– He began to look for the source and saw the volcano! – We draw the form and fill it with specially mixed plasticine.
– Dino was worried and began to stamp on the spot … – We make the grass part under the dinosaur and scratch the plants.
– Vulcan began to erupt!!! – We make volcanic spatter with a special device!
We draw dinosaur eyes and we are glad that he managed to escape!
Summary:
During one standard project we were able to work with dough, clay, pencils, paints, additional tools. We imagined, talked, help each other to prepare and clean the workspace. And, of course, to pose to parents with creative and author’s, not similar to each other, works while they took a pictures!
I also want to note that each project is different from the previous one and each project has its own concept of work.
Thanks to everyone who is with us, and we invite those who are interested!
